The Summit track starts at Pilot Quay on the harbour side of the Mount and the climb up this dormant volcano offers spectacular panoramic views of Tauranga and its harbour, south to White Island and over the most of the Bay of Plenty. Alternatively take the 3.5km walk around the base of the Mount and again be treated to great views and plenty of wildlife on offer both on land and out to sea.
