This walk has got a lot going on for it. After 20 minutes there is a small lookout, but if you continue for another hour further uphill you will arrive at the walk lookout. Stunning and diverse scenery dominate Okarito. Tidal estuaries and lagoons, windswept coastline sea cliffs, lush rain forest and magnificent views of the Southern Alps, Ka Tiritiri o te Moana. Thousands of native birds make this place their home. Spot White Heron (Kotuku) and royal spoonbills.
